terrible liars and bafoons, their whole sysytem is designed to take your money through fees. They have two sets of books, one they present to you online and on the phone system that show money available, then one in the "back office" that shows negative balances accruing fee after fee. So you check you balance and see money available then a few days later they say no that wasn't really available, you should know our policy. Well, try to get any employee to explain the money availability policy you will get several different answers depending on who you ask. also the policy seems to be determined at the pleasure of the back office poeple with no consistancey or regularity as to when money is availble and why. I was even told if I depost cash, it is avialable for cash withdrawals but not for debit card use. HUNH?? they told me this with a straight face, and when ask again in front of their manager, tried to backpeddle and say she never said that. These people are incompetent at best and thieves at worst. The system is created to fleece the little guy. Most employees are too blind to see that or too self involved to care.

Was charged 3 overdraft fees for a total of $105.00. Nobody at either the customer service number OR my local branch could explain the charges nor would they refund them back to my account. I presented them with math & totals of transactions, along with statements. Regardless, they would not refund although the bank made the error when processing debits to cause the overdrafts. Their rebuttal was "You should've made another deposit to cover the amount in these such instances." WHAT?? I will be leaving & moving to another institution. Banks these days have some nerve!

Been with TD Bank for 15 yrs. A couple years ago, I needed to transfer money from my home equity line to my checking account. A young female manager at the Topsfield, MA branch said snidely, "You can do this online ya know". Um, sorry to make you work, guess I should do it all online and don't need any of you workers. Well turns out it isn't possible to do this transaction online, I tried but the website wasn't cooperating. Then this year when we tried to open up IRAs at tax time NOBODY in the branch had ever done one so they had to call some help line as we sat a long time. Um, TD Bank, I suggest you train your people on your product line?

The employees at this location have the worst attitudes ever. The girls there are just so rude to customers. The fact that the managers think its okay to continue to have such terrible staffs is beyond belief. The only reason why i continue to go there is because of my job. Otherwise i would have nothing to do with then at all.

I have been banking with TD since it was Commerce, and always loved the free coin counter, the later and sunday hours, and many other conveniences, but I had such a bad experience and I feel like i am possibly being scammed by them.
I deposited a large check from an estate account with another bank, into my checking account 5 days before a holiday weekend. I continued to monitor my account online to see when the check would clear, as I know and fully understand that large checks from other institutions take longer. After 4 days, my check had cleared in full and the balance was showing as available funds on my online statement. I made purchases with my debit card against this balance and they were approved. Then, the first day of the long holiday weekend, I check my online account and the balance from the check was suddenly under "pending charges", and my account was overdrawn from the purchases that were just approved the day before! I also have been receiving fees. I called customer service and they said that a hold was placed on my check and that they cant do anything about it until after the holiday weekend is over. I contacted the account manager who wrote me my check and he assured me that the account had more than enough funds to cover the check he wrote me. Meanwhile, I have a negative balance on my td account and am accumulating overdraft fees. Someone please explain to me how this is not a downright scam?

I have never put a post on this site before, Yet, TD Bank motivates me to doing so…My story is long and parts of it I still do not understand stand due to customer service being (rude, condescending, confused or frankly not knowing what they are doing) .. TD Bank makes their money off overdraft fees, look it up in Google, type up complaints with TD Bank.. When you sign up for them, really question their over draft plan… Also, even if you have direct deposit, your check is on hold in pending up to 48 hours. Do not even get me started in their way of pending services(check, automatic withdrawal) .Also, I went to Tewksbury Mass branch, I ask the teller, I have a 150.00 in bank, I need to get 185.00 money order and I have 700.00 check from my job.. Is there a way we can cash it and I can use 35.00.. Lady said “yes” and stated that cashed all funds will be available.. I said great, but I asked, it takes up to 24 hours for check to cover, doesn’t it? She stated “nope”... So I did that... Well, assuming I had all that money, I used my debit card... Huge mistake, over draft Bank fee, after over draft fee... Hours on phone explaining what happen, and costing me over 300.00I can say I will never go to this bank again... I am closing my account and going somewhere else... Please do me a favor whoever reads this, just Google TD Banks complaints, read up on it... Even if you do not believe me, just look into these people... I also had other issues about their fees, but the most common complaint is their overdraft fees and pending payments..

I started with Commerce Bank for a mortgage and accounts. They were great then TD Bank came along. Since rates have gone down I applied for a lower rate and was told I did not qualify to borrow that amount of money???? I have had my mortgage for six years. When I called them and said I already was given the money for my home all I wanted to do was refinance so I could get a lower rate which would lower my payments. Since I have direct withdraw for my mortgage a payment has never been missed or late. I was told well we can't refinance your home. I had already closed my checking and savings when they started to charge me to get my own money out of my accounts. I now have my home up for sale and can't wait to sell my home and pay them off. I will never do business with them again.

Worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. I could not even believe that TD Bank could hire these people who has no idea how to talk to customers. She was not only rude but also mean at the same time being sarcastic. She was yelling and screaming behind me while I was leaving which I only heard aloha not the rest but I dont think I will ever have any kind of business with TD Bank anymore. There are millions of educated nice people around looking for a job and these nasty people have jobs working at the banks, unbeleivable. By the way her name ise Yolanda if you happen to go to that branch, I would not deal with her.

Never in my life have I been so appalled by customer service/the attendants anywhere. I have been going to TD bank for my entire life, since it was Commerce and I have never been so disgusted by how rude workers can be. I cringe when I have to step foot in the TD bank in West Long Branch due to the workers. I have had many incidences where the workers have just been straight up rude towards my family and I but I have overlooked these incidences because my father was friendly with all the workers and I figured they were just frustrated sometimes possibly due to a hard customer. This morning I had gone into TD bank in West Long Branch to use the change machine and cash a check. I understand that the penny arcade is absolutely the worst thing the workers have to deal with in their workday, however this is a job they chose to do and problems occurring with this machine are rarely the customer’s fault. I had put my money in separate bags divided by pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters (I had put a half dollar in there too because the machine has taken them before), and made sure nothing else was in my bags. When I put my change through the machine, it told me there had been a problem so I asked for help from one of the staff members. She could not originally see what the problem had been so she asked over another member of the staff. This associate had realized there had been a rock stuck in the machine. I know the rock wasn’t mine due to 1. I had just organized and shifted through my change twice and 2. The machine broke before even a penny of my money could be counted; however the workers blamed me for the rock. Trying to get over the fact they were blaming me for a rock I told them I was sure it wasn’t mine, I had cleared my change. The workers replied with “that’s what they all say, you obviously didn’t do a good job.” I kept my mouth shut to her comment and waited as a third worker came to try and get the rock out. One worker got a cut on their hand and another said her hands hurt after trying to take off the turn the machine and they blamed me once again for ‘getting hurt’. I still didn’t say anything. They finally got the rock out and the one attendant said to me “you obviously didn’t a bad job, it looks dusty in the change machine” and picked out my half dollar coin. What she was implying is that I was obviously the one who had the rock in there. She didn’t stop there though; she turned back and said “great now she broke the machine with her rock.” Although this rock was 100% not mine, but if it were, either way, I never want to hear a worker blame a customer due to a machine error or for any error in that matter of fact. I offered to help and I offered to pick my change out of the top since it had never gone through (since the rock was there before my change could even get to that part of the machine). I am so appalled by the way the two female workers acted towards me and especially the ones commentary. They should NEVER be allowed to work in a customer service area with attitudes like theirs. I cancelled my account with TD today because I honestly am so angry at how I was treated.

I was told that I had to go IN PERSON to change my address on file when we moved. Once there, I had to sit and wait 15 minutes for a rep to bring me into her office and then it took an ADDITIONAL 45 minutes to change my address in the system! (There is something called "the internet" that might have made this endeavor much easier - why they don't offer customers a way to change their address on TD Bank's website is beyond me, even by phone would have been great - I also have a St. Mary's Bank account and it took 1 minute by phone to change my address!)
Also, they are highly understaffed, especially at lunch time. I have had to wait from 3 to 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge I am at the drive-up window which is a long time to wait wondering if they even know I'm there. There are times I will wait, then someone else drives up (and also waits) and the other person is assisted first as I continue to wait.
I've had my TD Bank account for over 30 years and was also told with the new fees that were implemented a few years ago, that I would be exempt because my account would be "grandfathered" in with no fees, however they lied. I am charged monthly maintenance fees. I'm pretty much done with the inattentiveness of this bank on Rte 101 in Bedford and will be transferring all my funds to St. Mary's Bank (who, by the way, don't charge fees).

Not only do I have a personal account with TD Bank but so does my employer. I do all the deposits for my job so I am always at the TD Bank branch 32nd and Park Avenue for one reason or another. THE WORST!!! Not only are the tellers rude to the customers, but they could not care less about the customers they are dealing with. They sit and chat amongst each other laughing and paying the customers absolutely no mind at all. When I go to make deposits most times they make me feel as if I being a bother to them for having to do their job. There have even been times when the tellers will argue amongst each other over who is going to do my deposits! This location is the worst I swear to god. Almost every teller needs to be replaced and or retrained. I am seriously considering switching banks.

I just want to share my bad experience and the nightmare that TDBANK is giving to me...!!!...I got a call from TDBank Fraud Department telling me that one of TDBank’s Employees gave out my personal information (Name, Address, Social Security Number and Account Number ) without my consent to an unauthorized party...The Customer Service Representative at Fraud Department ( Named Ms. Stacy) whom I spoke with, told me that this happened “mistakenly or in purposely ”
I am very concerned about this situation and, I cannot believe that such Financial Institution can have such inexperience employees working and handling such sensitive information. Ms. Stacy tried to calm me down telling me that this “It Might Happened” and that this situation is under investigation, but it was too late because at the beginning of our conversation she clearly said, “That it happened”.
I am in state of shock to know that my personal information is out there in some criminal’s hand, and this is issue is causing such state of Intranquility and anxiety to me. I can not believe that this institution doesn’t has the proper security systems and resources to protects the identity of their customers and, I am demanding to have more information about this issue in what happened and how this happened.
Obviously TDBank don't know how to handle your personal information..How is possible this kind of leak!!!..This issue is creating such of state of anxiety and paranoid to my persona and I've been calling and sending letters to get a response in How this Happened and When...and all that they tell me that is "under investigation"...This is Scary!!!

Lousy

Absolutely dreadful, went to withdraw some money, An oh so attentive teller, with the best of professionalism assisted me. Of course the system was slow, I found that out after asking her if there was a problem with my account. She was slumped in her seat, may have been tired given she looked pregnant. Asked me for my bankcard, which has never been the case with past checking withdrawals. Then of course the other tellers may have circumvented the rules or are not familiar with the rules. Seems like every TD Bank employee in the place regardless of the time of day, look annoyed, frustrated and ready to quit upon lunch break. Thank you is nonexistent. Why work if you feel so lousy? There are plenty of taxpayer dollars wasted on folks that refuse to work, TD Bank management you may want to add these useless folks to the dole.

I deposited cash on Thursday night and its Sunday and still nothing available. Im fairly certain they should have had the cash avalable on Friday when they processed the ATM. In my short two weeks at TD They have charged me 4 (four!) 35 dollar fees for a crazy reconciling system. I have had accounts for 39 years in many different banks and have never seen a bank like this. This is "America's most incompetent bank" I would love to give no stars but this is not an option.
