I have overlooked the fact that the managers will go to lunch while people are sitting and waiting to be helped but my most recent experience will not be overlooked.
I went to the branch on Friday feb 1 to order a new debit card because mine was lost. I was told it would take 5-7 business days and cost $5.
On Monday feb 11 I called the branch because I still hadn't received my new card. After 15 frustrating minutes of the manager telling me I never had a debit card, and then telling me that I had one but never used it, she said she would call me back. She later called and said that I should have the card by Friday February 15 and that it would be mailed to the branch, not my home. Inconvenient, but whatever.
I logged in to my account today to find that I had been charged $25 for a rush replacement fee.  When I called the 1800# on the website, I was informed that my card wasn't even ordered until feb 11.  When I explained the situation, I was told that they can't refund the fee because they can't verify that I did not request the rush, because I had actually requested the card a week before it was ordered. I have to fight with the branch to get my money back, when they are the ones that didn't order my card and then lied about it and rush ordered it. I will be closing my account today.

I have had the best service from the both the manager and the personal banker at this location, I believe their names are Michelle (manager) and Jeremy (personal banker, anytime I have needed any service these folks have go the extra mile to help me! Thank you!

Keybank 2050 Western Ave. Guilderland
    initially was asked if i could be helped by teller, i needed an administration person and waited.  at the five minute mark i asked if there were more than just the visible mgr available and the same teller replied with 'there are 3', with no other action.  at the 12 minute mark i noticed a person walk by and down a hall.  at the 18 minute mark,  i followed down that hall and found the branch mgr office.  she had walked right past me in the lobby.  stuck my head in and we started my business there asking for a charge to be taken off.
     this resulted in her saying that there was nothing she could do despite researching and finding discrepancies.   30 MINUTES OF FRUSTRATION!

Keybank 813 (?)  Central Ave Colonie
       they're not all bad...  visiting the branch nearest me,  this mgr had apologized and solved my issue in less than 5 minutes.

The teller I dealt with was rude and her manager was ever ruder.
Instead of trying to help and come up with a solution, the manager's answer was: "Go to another Keybank" and maybe they will help you. I can't help you!
-- "Really? So, the rules would be different at the other Keybank then? Or maybe they know what they are doing, and you already know that???"
A few weeks ago I have been wondering why they change their tellers so often, and some of their tellers, (Amanda and Marylou) were extremely nice, thoughtful and always helpful). Today I guess I realized that the problem begins with their management. This manager is their main problem, I believe.

My suggestion is to stay away from this branch, because you will be treated with disrespect and will not be helped.

This branch is a nightmare. If you want to waste your time and deal with incompetent and rude employees, who don't know what they are doing, who are on personal phone calls instead of serving their clients, and who try to belittle you, than this is your branch.
Today, I dealt with a very unprofessional teller, with an attitude, and when I dared to complain to her manager, I found out where she got the attitude from: The Manager was even ruder than the teller. Go figure!
Time to change banks!!!

This is the worst branch of KeyBank ever run by inept, incapable individuals who don't want to work and attempt to cause MAJOR problems for you if you don't put up with it.  After a less than pleasant interaction with a lazy associate I was threatened by the branch manager who stated that corporate security had come down with a decision to close my account which was a LIE. After refusing to sign the paperwork to close my own account (which never occurred) I filed a complaint through the Key website.

This bank is bad. My niece wasn't able to deposit a check into her account because of the way it was made out. She has an account with the bank, and I do to. I made the check out to her, her partner and their baby. "John" informed me that the bank didn't accept check written out that way period...and hung up on me. I've banked with Key for years, but I'm changing banks. I'm not going to put up with rude, incompetent individuals, period!!!

Ever since I opened my account here there has really never been anything positive about my banking experience.  First, when opening the account everyone was very nice and they said we will open you our free checking account.  The checking account has never been free it has monthly and yearly fees.  Ofcourse this was not mentioned and they take the fees out at the most inconvenient times to make your account negative and get charged an additional $37.00 overdraft fee.  When calling for help because of a bad financial experience the women who manages the branch is rude has not consideration for others and simply does not care.  But, I am sure if she was experiencing this negativity I am sure she would care then.  All in all they tell you what you want to hear and don't follow through with any of their promieses.  The final straw at this bank was they closed my account with out notifying me so this delayed multiple direct deposits into my account.

This bank is tricky. An example of trickiness happened to me yesterday when I tried to check out at the grocery with my debit card. Now I know that, thanks to federal requirements, I have the option of setting my debit card use to avoid overdrawls by debit card use, and I know that it is possible for my balance to be lower than I thought due to unexpected timing on bill payment (shouldn't happen that way, but tell that to keybank), so I wasn't either too surprised or at all embarrassed that the debit card disallowed over one hundred dollars of the charge. I was, however surprised when I looked on my account online and found that there was still one hundred dollars left after all pending charges went through. Why didn't my debit card let me use that money? I was suspicious, having run into tricky practices from this bank many times in the past. My suspicion led me to transfer another hundred dollars to this account from another keybank account. Keybank has yet to credit my acvount with that transfer, but they did allow a charge that was NOT listed among those pending, which overdrew my account and charged me a fee. That is robbery.

The manager Eunmin (Emily) Woermbke is by far the most disrespectful, rude person I have ever met! She did nothing be repeat herself and had no mannors at all what so ever! I would NEVER recommend Key Bank!!!! They literally charged me $800.00 worth of overdraft fees EVENTHOUGH I selected the option to have my card declined if negative. This is the WORST bank I have ever worked with and if you want to keep the money you work hard for I WOULD NEVER GO TO KEY BANK!

I was a loyal KeyBank customer for 20 years.   But their online banking has ended all of that.

The security checks are flawed.  It prompts you for information from public record (mortgage payment amount, relatives names, etc).  However, my answers were never correct.   Evidently, Key knows more about my family members than I do, and as a result my account would be locked.

This went on for a few years...  getting locked out of online banking every few weeks and having to spend 15 minutes on the phone getting it unlocked.   Finally, I gave up with them and just stopped using the account entirely.

I just learned that they started assessing a $5/month maintenance fee on my account due to inactivity.   Once they finally sucked all of my money from the account down to a zero balance, they closed my account.   WITHOUT EVEN NOTIFYING ME.

THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES!!!   BANK WITH THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

This bank is not a bank at all it  what they call on the street a SHOWN LARK , just in case, I call them a lone shark. They have created a system where by they simply take the money you deposit away and put it in to there account. Yes that's right, $38.50 for writing a180.00 check when only $584 AVAILABLE funds. Your check has not cleared, they explain as of speaking sympathetically to a retarded child . The fact that cash was deposited seeming to fall on deaf ears. Put your money in Key bank it's like handing out   your house key and saying sure stop by when you like and take what ever you need. . The greeting on arrival " Hello Mr. So and so, how can I help you out offyou money today. To all the kind folks w who work at key. Get the heck out of that place the banks reputation will tanned yours.To Key dank STOP ROBBING YOUR CLIENTS IF YOU NEED MONEY EARN IT.

I think the people at the Traverwood Keybank location are among the friendliest, kindest people I have ever met anywhere! They are conscientious and very helpful.  It is really a pleasure to go there because I know they will always be nothing but professional and attentive to my banking needs.

I can't wait to be done at this bank. I am currently rerouting my direct deposits etc. This bank will rob you blind with fees. Fees for everything from using ATMs to check your balance, (2.50), ATM usage they think is exceeding, (47.50), this is per time and per month respectively. The staff in management are unknowledgable. Then try to double talk to make it seem like they know what they are talking about. And, the bank is so small, they all share knowledge of any problems that take place within your account.oh and my husband tried to use his bank card from another bank at my key bank and the fee was $4.00! Needless to say, he didn't pay it. Don't bank here!

I was disappointed when the current manager of the branch got the job -- because she had taken such good care of my account at the downtown branch when she was there. But, even though I don't live in Eastlake and still do my banking elsewhere, I can still call for advice. And the downtown branch is still great as well. Can't be happier with the service and the fact that they don't forget their old customers even when they move to a new location. Great job.

Hidden fees EVERYWHERE. And when I went to cancel my account because I couldn't handle the fees anymore, they charged me another fee to close the account!

Don't listen to any representatives in KEY BANK. If they make a mistake and quit the job, who will be responsible? NOBODY! I followed one representative's recommendation and I got fee. I complained. Then,Key bank manager said that he quit the bank and fee is not fully refundable.

They said that it is my fault since I did not check my account. Who the hell checks saving account every moment? Their service is TERRIBLE!! They stole my money with HIGH FEE!! REMEMBER THAT THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY,too.

I've been banking here for years and have always had excellent service. Rather than use the drive through,  I like going into the bank to do business as well as say hello to the bank manager and bank tellers.

We always had terrible experiences with this bank and no exception today as well as we finally decided to close our account. They charged additional $18.00 fee because there was no money deposited in this month! of course I didn't coz we wanted to close the account. Anyway the manager was rude and gave us a quick  lecture about the Bank's terms and conditions. No more KeyBanking!

In busines I have dealt with all sort of banking enviroment, How ever this particular branch leave alot to be desired. The cashiers are friendly, but just pray that you do not ever have a problem and have to deal with their cashier supervisor. She creates more problems that you came in with, Besides being arrogant and rude, she does not have a clue what the words customer service is all about. The customer is not always right, however it is her job to find a solution to the problem that is condusive to a happy conclusion for the customer. This branch of Key Bank at 3911 Martin way east Olympia, will leave you with a sence of running to other bank to do you business.

My husband has banked with Key for about 15 years, probably more. This branch used to be very friendly & helpful, now every time we go in we have some kind of trouble. The tellers are ALL rude and will not work with you whatsoever. We wanted to deposit our wedding checks which were made out to both of us in his account since my bank is in Columbus and we didn't want to drive there. They refused to do it and the one girl even started getting attitude with me. We turned around and walked out. I have since told my husband he should switch banks and he said he'd never considered it until that day and now he plans to do it. Key does NOT know how to treat its LOYAL, LONG TERM customers!!!
