For Christmas Chase decided to cheat me out of $76

I am just out of foreclosure and bankruptcy and trying to get my life together. There was $76 left in my old business account. I went online to close the account. They asked if I wanted a check for the balance and of course I said yes. They sent a check that can only be cashed by the account they closed down themselves. They refuse to give me my lousy $76. What a nice Christmas present. I hope they all get cheated for Christmas.

I have been banking with Chase Bank for years and with the Town Center location since October 2013 in an attempt to refinance my rental property in Baker, a suburb of Baton  Rouge, Louisiana.  I have a checking account, savings account, investment account, home loan (which is now rental property), and an education fund with them.  In an effort to minimize my interest rate and reduce my income to debt ratio in anticipation of buying a second home in the state I now live in, I attempted to refinance my home in Louisiana.  The process started off painlessly.  The mortgage banker was so helpful and promising, and was very much accessible.  However, after the file was transferred to the loan processing office in Houston, Texas and the loan officer indicated issues with my income to debt ratio (which I thought were resolved), the accessibility went from 10 to 2 with 10 being very accessible and 1 being rarely accessible.  During this aspect of processing my loan, accessibility was limited with both the mortgage banker (in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) and the loan processor (in Houston, TX).  The mortgage banker told me on several occasions she would call me back to no avail.  One such example is that I had to contact her on three different occasions to get a good faith effort after she informed me that Chase Bank would meet any good faith effort. The loan processor was even worse.  I contacted her the day before Thanksgiving after receiving an email she sent on the same day requesting some document/information needed.  I emailed her back asking her if in the future, she would please call me if she needed additional information or documentation (as my loan was time sensitive due to the pending closing date on the new home I'm trying to purchase).  After not receiving a response to my email, I called and left a message for the loan officer asking her to call me back.  After not receiving a reply to either email or phone call, I contacted the loan officer again leaving a message indicating that this was the 2nd message I was leaving and I expected to have my calls returned.  I attempted to contact the loan office for the second time (on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving).  The loan officer didn't return my call until Friday, December 6th.  When she returned my call, she tried to deny responsibility for not calling me back indicating that my mortgage banker should be the one informing me that my loan to refinance my home was denied because of my income to debt ratio.  Mind you that I only have 3 debts- a home in which I owe less than $50,000, a car in which I may owe $23,000, and a Chase credit card on which I have a balance of approximately $4,000.

Upon hearing this news on Friday, I immediately called my mortgage banker who neglected to answer my phone call but sent me a text indicating she was at the hospital and she would call me back.  She never returned my call but instead sent me a text Monday morning indicating she would be looking at my file.  In attempt to get some answer, I left Houston, Texas Sunday afternoon so I could be at the bank when it opened Monday morning.  After meeting the mortgage banker, she let me talk to a lending manager (via phone call) who assured me she would look into file and call me later with an update because she couldn't understand why they denied me.  She indicated she was out in the field but would be in the office later that day.  The lending manager did call later that day around 5 p.m. indicating that the loan officer's number was way off and she would make contact with someone first thing Tuesday morning to follow up.  After not hearing from her all day, I contacted her Tuesday, December 10th at approximately 4:45 p.m. asking for an update.  She began to tell me that the processing department was counting my $1,400 rent that I currently pay was being counting as a debt (even though the lease for my apartment ends December 31, 2013 at which I will not be renewing.  When asked if she didn't think she should have called me and informed me of such, she indicated she was in the field as an explanation as to why she hadn't called.  Being in the field in my opinion is not an excuse for unprofessionalism and not following up.  She was in the field when I spoke with her for the first time yesterday, December 9th.   The lending manager and the mortgage banker were both aware that my case was time sensitive as again I am trying to purchase a home in Houston, Texas.  Despite having that knowledge, all Chase Bank employees inclusive of the loan processor neglected to communicate effectively among themselves and with me.  The end result, I am having to scramble to find someone to refinance my rental property as I was relying on the finalization of that to purchase the home in Houston, Texas (I was taking money out of my equity).  In addition, I am very disappointed in how they handled my case.  I guess I expected better treatment from Chase considering I have been with them for at least 10 years if not more.  After this process has been finalized, I will be removing my funds from Chase and will no longer patronize this establishment.  I can take my pennies elsewhere.

I had $145.00 taken out of my account for a service done on the phone for a 1 bottle of supplement. It was a scam they tapped my account for $145 of more supplements. I've been contacted the service of the supplement company which said lines were busy call back later I've been attempted to do this for 2 days no solution. I called the bank to reverse it the claims department did, and put it back on my account with the drawer with the wrong the amount of $145 again. I called chase they said after careful review contacting the vendor that I needed to call the vendor to cleared up not chase. Very ticked off, I can't get through to the supplement company company. I'm on my way down as soon as the ice melts on the road to talk to chase, if not resolved I will withdraw my account which I have had for many years. Not satisfied ever with Chase's remarks.

same thing happened to me a few times, but i called chase first and put in a complant while the amount was still pending. I don't remember the process but I got my money back. I went on line and emailed them and also found another number. it was a process but I got my money back. Chase is usually good about getting you out of trouble with scammers.

You are so far wrong about this bank. You must have personally done something wrong. I am 18 years old and i had $200 in my account 8 days after opening account. They would never exspect someone to open 5 accounts. Thats rediculous and so are you. Too worried about a measly $200 i make that in 3 days.

Ask for the Vice President named Joseph Origer. HE is my fiancé, HE is the Branch Manager and I guarantee he will do a PERFECT job for y'all, PERIOD. Do you know what "P&L" stands for? Google it. Joe was ranked NUMBER ONE IN Profit and Loss. Ask for him before her gets promoted AGAIN. He's a GENIUS.

The service received at this branch has been excellent, efficient and with very little waiting time.  We have used JP Morgan Chase Bank since they purchased Bank One and have enjoyed excellent service from each branch we have entered.  We live close to this particular one at 99th Ave and Beardsley Road, so that is our home bank.

I SHOULDNT HAVE TRUSTED CHASE!!! HERE IS THE STORY!!!

so I have been trying to buy a house for 10 months now. In less then a month it forecloses. We agreed on a price for the house but I had to do work to the house in order for it to pass inspection and appraisal. After doing work to the house we don't own yet they stopped returning our calls until the agreement expired then they turned around and re priced the house at a higher value because it was worth more! SO THEY ARE CHARGING US FOR THE WORK THAT WE DID!!! They should have lowered the price. DON'T WORK WITH THEM!!

ps I will try to contact the newspaper tomorrow.

IF CHASE WOULD LIKE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM PLEASE CONTACT ME. START BY ADDING A COMMENT SO THAT PEOPLE CAN SEE IF YOU DID OR DIDNT RESPOND TO ME.

NEVER GO TO THIS BRANCH! I went in to deposit cash one afternoon and a young man helped me. I counted my cash in front of him and gave it to him, he did not give me a deposit slip or even count the money again in front of me like he should. I was late for work so I took the receipt without checking it closely and left. A few hours later I checked the receipt and the amount was marked $100 less than what I had given him. I went back the next morning thinking the young man had just made a mistake but when I got there the employees were very defensive and told me that their cashbox was balanced. The man who got my cash deposit denied the amount I had given him. They told me they were going to call me when the branch manager arrived (they never called me.) I showed up again that afternoon and talked to the manager; from the begging he was in no intention of helping me. He treated me like an idiot asking me if I was sure I had gone to that branch (even though I had the receipt with the name of the branch and cashbox). The manager told me he would pull up the camera images to check how much money I had given the young man. So I showed up again the next day to see the images but when I got there he told me he couldn't get the images because it wasn't a robbery (It was since they stole $100 from me!). The manager was rude, offensive and unhelpful, he ended up telling me that if I had a problem I should go to the police department and get a police report (although I had been very patient and respectful). I closed my account and felt.

The employees at this branch are lazy and extremely rude. I went in to go take care of an overdraft fee. Not only was the wait way too long with 4 tellers and only about 5 customers, but the manager was extremely rude and had the worst speaking manners and spoke like a bad rapper. It was highly unprofessional. She also needs to learn to keep her voice down. I'm sure all of the other customers now know all of my personal information thanks to this woman. The teller I was also speaking with, a woman with blondish - brown hair, looked like she was about ready to fall asleep. They were also very unhelpful and failed to resolve my issue. There are about 2-3 other Chase Banks around the vicinity, I would highly recommend you stay away from this one. I am now opening an account with PNC bank because when I had them previously I never had an issue such as this and they resolved every issue I've ever had as a young banker. I should have NEVER switched to Chase.

Becareful if you bank with JP Morgan Chase.  I personnaly have 2 postal boxes at different post office branches.  I never know where my account statements will end up as JP Morgan Chase picks and chooses where to send my accounts, with absolutely no request from me.  Talk about an invasion of privicy wow!  I personnaly after 30 years with this bank and closing all accounts.

Where in the United States Constitution does it state that a person cannot have more than one post office box. Where does state that Chase has the right to change account address without notification from the account holder and then not have the respect to notify the account holder.

Good bye Chase  30 years customer loyality down the tube.

Probably the worst service ever. Constantly messing up my accounts. They can never get it right. Having to make trips to the bank constantly to fix a mistake they made is just annoying and inconvenient. Go to a different location if you can. You can tell they are very unprofessional and not trained properly.

Went in to make a payment to my credit card the other day and the teller posted my $900.00 payment to a closed account. Returned today and asked to speak with the manager.  Frank helped me, and although I kept my composure, I was so upset at the fact that Chase was going to let a $900.00 credit sit on a closed account.  If it wasn't for me double checking my statement I would have never known that this occurred.  Makes me wonder what other errors they are making. This may sound like a small amount for people who have thousands or millions in the bank, however, it is relative. My hundreds are like thousands, so be cautious: They may be erroneously placing a thousand here and there in your million dollar account(s). So, this is how it was resolved: After relocating to the correct account, I was told by Frank "Sorry for the inconvenience."  Which was his way of saying goodbye, let me get to more important matters...like myself. Bottom line...they make a mistake you pay.  Also, if you don't have millions in the bank, they are not going their customer service flies out the window , so don't expect to get that Starbucks card or credit of some sort for their mistake and your inconvenience.

Pamela Smith is "A Diamond in The Rough"

Every one knows that banks all want to maximize their profits. Yes they are a sea of sharks surviving off the lazy, distracted and uninformed.

Ms. Smith is the Vice President and Branch Manager of the Chase Bank on Hwy 6 North at 529. She is a fair and awesome manager and a good banker to boot. My experience with her was an inspiration. She makes the most of her employees by treating them nice and showing respect.

We could all learn a lesson from this humble, insightful and soulful Lady!

You can really trust this bank.

I've asked them to close business account and they forgot and made a mistake on my account and wants me to hold responsible for it since their software does not allow them to fix it. The assistant manager says that he would fight with the customers legally. What a crappy service to threaten customer for their issues.

I have been dealing with one of your branches in california trying to get a loan. The person that contacted me didn't disclose any fees that I would have to pay until after the fact I paid all the fees and they said I would have the money in an hour western union. I went and tried to get the money but they had no records of this transaction. I called them back several times and no response left messages also. I got a hold of them on monday when they finally called me back they said there was an error in my wtc # for western union and we going to send it fedx and I would have to pay the fedx charges as well I told this person that I didn't have any more money but they didn't listen. I asked if they could take some of the money out of what I was getting and pay the fees but he said that they can't do that so I told him that I would call him back in like 20 minutes I got busy at work and didn't get a chance to call back. I tried an hour later and got a greeting message to leave my name and phone # and they would call me back as soon as possible never happened. I've tried several times today and yesterday and also monday but no responses back to my calls or messages. I would like the number to your corporate offices so I cal tell them about this also. I would like all of the money that I have lost in this whole deal credited back to me as soon as possible.

Avoid using Suzanne Jacobus as your mortgage banker.  She is incompetent and unprofessional.  She seems does not care or unwilling to solve your issues.  Your need to follow ups with her all the time becasue she either forget documents you provided or gives you false/inaccurate information. You end up with wasting your application fees and get nowhere!!

Quite the contrary, I found this bank to be fast, friendly and effective for my banking needs.  Patricia, the manager, is the best banker I've had the pleasure of working with over my past 45 years of banking!
