Dennis a mortgage broker at the San Ramon branch in California lied about escrow costs and now come to find out my property taxes were deflated so he could make my payment lower but in reality they should have been higher by $100. I would not have done the loan.
Don't do business with Chase.
I received the check from Chase witnin two days of showing documentation that the broker lied. What a horrible person this guy Dennis is!!!! Evil!!!
Chase knows how this guy operates but he is in the Presidents Club so they are not going to get rid of him. He makes too much money for them.
I went up the ladder to each executive in Sacramento and they were zero help. What a bunch of suits!
I live in Stockton and received this recommendation from Tom C. and called him back to let him know what happened and he defended his friend. I will write him off now as well. He is in Stockton BofA now. Don't go to that bank either.
I miss Washington Mutual. Never had a problem with them and two loans.
I am not done with Chase yet. I am writing a personal letter (not email) to Dimon because the chain of command is so long in customer service. I am going to file fraud against them as well. Nothing is easy with the banking industry.
Signed,

Seeing the MANY other "poor" ratings of Chase I am no longer feeling alone in my miserable angry appraisal and
experience(s) with Chase (this name is apt; they should be
CHASED right out of the banking/finance business forever)
For seemingly few sad "reasons" 55,000.00 of credit lines
which had been established for many many years (back to
Wamu days and prior to that!) were PULLED OUT FROM UNDER
ME. Ah well, people say this is happening currently to
many many others for the same ??? reasons ??? A sign of
the economy more than anything else.
Hopefully, CHASE will be found liable/guilty of their EVIL
ACTIVITIES to those of us "POOR" and unbailable folks ! As
a spotless credit holder ~ I did/do not deserve the horrific treatment by CHASE and shall forever verbally and
every other way, advise others of CHASE EVILNESS.
While standing at the post office, in receipt of their famous FORM LETTER, with logo clearly at the top, TWO PEOPLE (ONE MAN/ONE WOMAN) SEPARATELY pointed to the logo
and said "THEY ARE EVIL, UNDERHANDED AND MEANT TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS" ~ THE NEXT PERSON SAID BASICALLY
THE SAME THING ~ ALL WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH ONE OF
THE CHASE REPS WHO WAS HACKING MY CREDIT LINE FROM 85,000. DOWN TO $30,000.00 !!!!! Quite amazing I thought !!!!!
I went directly to the closest CHASE branch and closed all
of my checking/savings/etc. accounts as soon as possible ~
also handed them boxes of unused checks to be shredded by
them as well.
Thanks for taking the time and energy to read this "review"
these nitemare people will one day get what they deserve ~
I am sure of it. ps if i could have used a lower star than
one (1) I sincerely would have done so.

Chase Bank in Madison recently churned my 82 year old mother's IRA account which she was earning 4% into an annuity which earns 3%, has thousands of dollars in penalties for early withdrawal, and doesn't mature until she is 96!!! The Chase employee received a huge commission on the annuity sale!! When I went to the bank manager to complain, she said there was nothing she could do! How's that for great customer service!!!
I'm withdrawing all of my mother's accounts immediately, and the whole family will never bank with Chase again.

Inept, uncaring. Stupid.
Now Chase has added an inactivity fee! So, if you have money in a Chase checking acct, even though the account pays NO interest, if there is no activity in that checking acct, they will charge you!
But worse than that, I had to become a conservator for a disabled relative. I went to the bank in person to present the court papers. Chase xeroxed that paperwork and 'allegedly' processed accordingly. However, when I try to deal with this person's credit cards, I still can't call on the phone without them telling me 'we can't talk to you as we have no record of you being conservator.' I have to go there in person. Isn't that sad?
Don't bank there. Avoid Chase like the plague.
Go for a credit union instead! They always will give you a much better deal.

This review applies to the JPM on Glade Road in Colleyville Texas. Prior to departing on a 60 days overseaas trip I talked to the branch people in person making sure my husband could bring in transfer documents all filled ouot to put money into the personal account to pay the Chase mortgage. The people at the bank would not allow him to complete the transaction and my mortgage payment will not get paid for September 2010. I hate this bank and am moving my money to a Texas bank when I get back home.

I have banked with WaMu now Chase for the past 6 years. I have found the staff to be knowledgeable, professional in demeanor and excellent in terms of customer service. The Branch Manager even assists clients with regular transactions if the staff is busy. Rather than having a dissatisfied customer this manager steps in to assist. I have come to know some of the staff by name and am pleased to say that eventhough I have moved to Nashville (where there is no Chase) I will always keep an account with the Midtown Branch of Chase. Keep up the good work.

The bank has been investigating this...and have never gotten back to me...it's been a month. These signature cards have all your personal information on it...driver's license number, birthdate, social security..everything!!! Still waiting for a response.

If bank business is the way it is at Chase Bank at St Mary's street fort wayne, I can't believe anyone not wanting to stop by the bank any time just to say hello to the team of wonderful staff, even if the person has no financial business to transact. If anyone can tell the truth, they will feel the way I do, or even more. KEEP IT UP CHASE BANK AT ST MARY'S FORT WAYNE.

This review applies to the Streamwood Illinois bank on Irving Park Road..
I brought in a LARGE check to deposit. The teller was very slow, paid no attention (stared sideways) and acted like she was doing me some kind of favor.
Eventually, she pointed out a mistake on the receipt (the cents were transposed) pushing it in my face. I changed it and returned it. She asked if there was a "problem". I explained about the rudeness. No apology or acknowledgement from her (she said she said "HI" what else did I want, which she actually didn't), her boss (she didn't know who fault it was and they can only take customer service so far) or the bank manager about the value of customers, only they were sorry I had a problem. I felt like I was in a currency exchange. Clearly the staff is untrained.
I brought this to the attention of the main customer service number, where the rep was very polite and said their bosses would be notified. Hopefully a new manager and staff will be brought in soon. Any other problems at any other branches (I will NOT return to this one) and I will switch banks after 20 years. In this economy I don't think customers have to put up with this level of service.

Earlier this week I went to Chase bank to open an account due to a promotion I received in the mail. The woman working there took me to her desk immediately, offered me coffee, explained everything to me thoroughly, cleared up any confusion I had, and showed me all of my options. She showed me how to use the website which is also something I did not have at Sovereign bank. This woman's name is Tracy and she is personal and she really inspired me to want to become a banker.

She showed me how to use the website which is also something I did not have at Sovereign bank. This woman's name is Tracy and she is personal and she really inspired me to want to become a banker.

We joined WaMu because my mother and father in law had been with the bank many years. He died last year at 96. Trying to get the paper work done by or through Chase has been one of extreme difficulty. We are moving all our investments and banking elsewhere. We have had to submit, re-submit, and put up with their unbelieveable behavior long enough. Being with a large organization which moved me all over the world, I have dealt with many a financial agency. Chase is the worst in my book.

after being a customer with chase, and their predecessors, for 4 decades we are terminating ALL our accounts...
we needed some simple papers notarized, an attorney fee agreement on a court case for which we are co-plaintiffs with another party. we made prior arrangements with michael, by phone, BEFORE having the other party drive 20 plus miles to our bank where we have gotten papers notarized before. michael assured us that evelyn would take care of the signatures and confirmed that we were bank customers.
once the other party got to the bank, evelyn called us at home (my husband is ill and did not want to go in to the bank and share a quite nasty "summer cold") she said she did not "know us". my husband then gave her michael's name, the details of our prior phone contact, the names of other bank employees there who we DO deal with on a regular basis and who do know us WELL and offered anything else she might need. after this she agreed to notarize the ONE signature as long as the other party had a valid driver's licence with his signature (which he did).
AGAIN after that second conversation and agreement to notarize the papers (a simple contract, not even a sensitive document) she changed her mind yet again and refused to notarize the papers. she did not have the courtesy to call us and tell us so we could appeal to her superior, come in to the bank ourselves or work out other arrangements. she flatly refused, mentioning to the other party that also they were not an account holder. (perhaps she was trying to get him to open an account, who knows???) he did also offer to pay for the services if that was what she needed.
this person had driven 20 miles to go to our bank for this express purpose, which is why we called in advance to make arrangements, and were told everything was in order...TWO TIMES. now we are left with un-notarized paperwork we needed to have first thing monday morning and at least two additional 20 mile drives to complete the process before then...
my husband is at the bank now, withdrawing our money, closing all accounts AND exposing everyone to his very nasty summer cold.
this is not not the first time this bank has given us grief. they harassed us with calls at home trying to get us to invest money even though each time my husband told them that HE was a licensed investment advisor with over 40 years of investment experience and would be handling our investments himself. in spite of this, they still called and called us with their solicitations.
there are other inconveniences we have experienced, similar to complaints mentioned in other reviews here. they just don't care about the little guy, oh, and EVERYONE is a little guy to them! doesn't matter how much money you have. even if you are an upstanding respected member of the community like my husband who has recieved civic awards for his community service over his lifetime.
my husband will miss the tellers, they are all very pleasant and always brightened his days when he made deposits. we have NO complaint with the sweet and cheerful tellers! :(

Yesterday June 22 After waiting on line for ten Minutes I was told by the teller that they did not have two rolls of quarters and that I should have a seat until one of the officers could get change out of the vault once they had some free time.
Last Month I stopped in to take a withdrawal from my IRA. I was told that I would have to go to a branch which had an IRA agent. Huh?
As Wells Fargo always has rolls of quarters, and allows you to make withdrawals from your acct at any branch. I will move my accounts there.
