i banked with case 4 around 3 yrs had two business accounts and a personal. There online banking is awesome. And there online service is great for keeping good records for accounting. But they are a big corporate giant that u cannot get to a real person with power to make decisions when u have a issue. The branch vice Presidents have no power to really speak of. I sold a car on E-Bay and was sent a counterfeit cashier check. I didn't spend the money.  I filed a Police report and chase froze my accounts not just one but all for 10 days then closed all the accounts bounced many checks i had out there the vice President of the branch i brought all paperwork and police info she called main office and they said higher ups made a final decision on closing accounts and we could not speak to no one with authority to reverse the decision this bank is the worst Bank Ive ever dealt with i will know on only deal with community banks were u can speak to a person who has power.

Stephanie, the Branch Manager at Chase Maxtown in Westerville OH, is a know-it-all and has no idea what customer service is. She needs to pick up a few self help books on building rapport. I have a business account that runs over $150,000 a month through the account and she treated me like garbage. If I treated my clients this way, I would be bancrupt.

Made an ATM deposit at this Irvine, CA Chase branch on Nov. 15 of my largest monthly commission check from Aetna and 2 smaller checks. This is my local branch.  ATM ate my deposit, citing a technical failure. The branch insisted I leave and file a claim to their claim dept. 7 days later when I called to see why the claim's still open, the rep disconnected my call saying they would no longer accept future calls from me. Very scary. Be forewarned.

What a Horrible experience that was.  The teller was surly and condescending, telling me I had no recourse.  Then the staff started yelling my personal information to each other across the bank floor while I was still in the bank.  When I protested some 'woman' came from nowhere I recognized and asked me to step into an office so she could speak to me.  I wanted to go nowhere with this 'person'.  I just wanted to get out of there.  I felt as If I would be held against my will.  Very threatening set of people run that bank.  They said they have no security, but they had these large 'civilians' trying to block my way out.  It was just awful.  Banking has gone to the streets.  I felt like I was caught out of my neighborhood in a hostile neighborhood and the local gang was going to jump me.

Moved to Deridder year ago, and customer service is poor at this particular branch located in Deridder. The female banker who is the Vice President avoids important calls putting them off on window tellers. I have called twice with important calls needing to speak with a banker, and the tellers who answer would refuse to let me speak with a banker insisting that they could handle my call. After spending 7-10 min w/ teller explaining my issue, she placed me on hold and transferred me w/ the banker. Had a merchant accidently overcharge me, which caused overdraft charges. Got the refund settled w/ the merchant, but Chase refused to refund the $47 worth of overdraft charges. They also closed my savings account with no warning or notice. Asked Vice President to speak with her supervisor. She gave me a long distance number and told me to leave a message and he would call me back. I left a message on his phone. Never got a call back. Just poor customer service. It was better in the city where I last resided. I plan to switch banks.

Whatever you do in this life, do NOT deposit cash into a Chase bank "Deposit Friendly" ATM machine, because if IT screws up, YOU will be the one held under investigation.  Not only did the staff at the Southcenter, WA branch seem unbelievably nonchalant about the fact that the atm machine ate my $1,100 after which it ever so kindly told me that it was experiencing technical issues and to call a branch just to make sure everything went through ok.  I went into the branch immediately and was told that it was "probably just stuck in the machine and we will count it out and credit the money to your account".    Well that was a lie because apparently they only retrieve the money from the machine once a week when they do their balance and now I have to hope and pray that the balance is correct which doesn't leave me feeling very comforted considering it can't even accept a simple cash deposit correctly!!!!  So now I may or may not be out $1,100, all at the whim of a $1.5 trillion dollar company who is treating me, a regular customer since Wamu folded as though i was just some criminal off the streets pretending I got my money stolen.  I would hope that they would be able to give their regular customers the benefit of the doubt and then if there seemed to be a discrepancy with the amount i reported at the end of the week then talk to me about it.  But what the hell?  Do they think I tinkered with the machine to make it tell me it was having issues?  I couldn't have made this happen if I tried!  And even if I was some sort of criminal mastermind, bastardizing their stupid machines for the sake of making some quick cash, it would sure as hell be a lot more than $1,100 that I would claim!!!!  Is this all really necessary?  I even have a credit card with them.

Dennis a mortgage broker at the San Ramon branch in California lied about escrow costs and now come to find out my property taxes were deflated so he could make my payment lower but in reality they should have been higher by $100.  I would not have done the loan.
Don't do business with Chase.
I received the check from Chase witnin two days of showing documentation that the broker lied.  What a horrible person this guy Dennis is!!!! Evil!!!
Chase knows how this guy operates but he is in the Presidents Club so they are not going to get rid of him.  He makes too much money for them.
I went up the ladder to each executive in Sacramento and they were zero help.  What a bunch of suits!
I live in Stockton and received this recommendation from Tom C. and called him back to let him know what happened and he defended his friend.  I will write him off now as well.   He is in Stockton BofA now.  Don't go to that bank either.
I miss Washington Mutual.  Never had a problem with them and two loans.
I am not done with Chase yet.  I am writing a personal letter (not email) to Dimon because the chain of command is so long in customer service.  I am going to file fraud against them as well.   Nothing is easy with the banking industry.
Signed,
Frustrated

by INDIVIDUALIST, Aug. 23, 2010

Seeing the MANY other "poor" ratings of Chase I am no longer feeling alone in my miserable angry appraisal and
experience(s) with Chase (this name is apt; they should be
CHASED right out of the banking/finance business forever)
For seemingly few sad "reasons" 55,000.00 of credit lines
which had been established for many many years (back to
Wamu days and prior to that!) were PULLED OUT FROM UNDER
ME.  Ah well, people say this is happening currently to
many many others for the same ??? reasons ??? A sign of
the economy more than anything else.

Hopefully, CHASE will be found liable/guilty of their EVIL
ACTIVITIES to those of us "POOR" and unbailable folks ! As
a spotless credit holder ~ I did/do not deserve the horrific treatment by CHASE and shall forever verbally and
every other way, advise others of CHASE EVILNESS.

While standing at the post office, in receipt of their famous FORM LETTER, with logo clearly at the top, TWO PEOPLE (ONE MAN/ONE WOMAN) SEPARATELY pointed to the logo
and said "THEY ARE EVIL, UNDERHANDED AND MEANT TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS" ~ THE NEXT PERSON SAID BASICALLY
THE SAME THING ~ ALL WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH ONE OF
THE CHASE REPS WHO WAS HACKING MY CREDIT LINE FROM 85,000. DOWN TO $30,000.00 !!!!! Quite amazing I thought !!!!!

I went directly to the closest CHASE branch and closed all
of my checking/savings/etc. accounts as soon as possible ~
also handed them boxes of unused checks to be shredded by
them as well.

Thanks for taking the time and energy to read this "review"
these nitemare people will one day get what they deserve ~
I am sure of it.  ps if i could have used a lower star than
one (1) I sincerely would have done so.

by BEWARE CHASE BANK, Aug. 16, 2010

Chase Bank in Madison recently churned my 82 year old mother's IRA account which she was earning 4% into an annuity which earns 3%, has thousands of dollars in penalties for early withdrawal, and doesn't mature until she is 96!!!  The Chase employee received a huge commission on the annuity sale!!  When I went to the bank manager to complain, she said there was nothing she could do!  How's that for great customer service!!!

I'm withdrawing all of my mother's accounts immediately, and the whole family will never bank with Chase again.

Inept, uncaring.   Stupid.
Now Chase has added an inactivity fee!   So, if you have money in a Chase checking acct, even though the account pays NO interest, if there is no activity in that checking acct, they will charge you!

But worse than that, I had to become a conservator for a disabled relative.  I went to the bank in person to present the court papers.  Chase xeroxed that paperwork and 'allegedly' processed accordingly.   However, when I try to deal with this person's credit cards, I still can't call on the phone without them telling me 'we can't talk to you as we have no record of you being conservator.'  I have to go there in person.   Isn't that sad?

Don't bank there.  Avoid Chase like the plague.
Go for a credit union instead!   They always will give you a much better deal.

This review applies to the JPM on Glade Road in Colleyville Texas. Prior to departing on a 60 days overseaas trip I talked to the branch people in person making sure my husband could bring in transfer documents all filled ouot to put money into the personal account to pay the Chase mortgage. The people at the bank would not allow him to complete the transaction and my mortgage payment will not get paid for September 2010. I hate this bank and am moving my money to a Texas bank when I get back home.

This review applies to the Streamwood Illinois bank on Irving Park Road..

I brought in a LARGE check to deposit. The teller was very slow, paid no attention (stared sideways) and acted like she was doing me some kind of favor.

Eventually, she pointed out a mistake on the receipt (the cents were transposed) pushing it in my face.  I changed it and returned it.  She asked if there was a "problem". I explained about the rudeness.  No apology or acknowledgement from her (she said she said "HI" what else did I want, which she actually didn't), her boss (she didn't know who fault it was and they can only take customer service so far) or the bank manager about the value of customers, only they were sorry I had a problem.  I felt like I was in a currency exchange. Clearly the staff is untrained.

I brought this to the attention of the main customer service number, where the rep was very polite and said their bosses would be notified.  Hopefully a new manager and staff will be brought in soon.  Any other problems at any other branches (I will NOT return to this one) and I will switch banks after 20 years.  In this economy I don't think customers have to put up with this level of service.

The worst customer service ever! Take your money out and run to any other bank. I banked with Washinting Mutual. All of the employees are gone. I used to bank at Chase Manhattan. This is clearly not that bank! The manager should be fired immediately.

We joined WaMu because my mother and father in law had been with the bank many years. He died last year at 96.  Trying to get the paper work done by or through Chase has been one of extreme difficulty.  We are moving all our investments and banking elsewhere.  We have had to submit, re-submit, and put up with their unbelieveable behavior long enough.  Being with a large organization which moved me all over the world, I have dealt with many a financial agency.  Chase is the worst in my book.
