my parents started me with a savings there when it was south west and that was fine, they never really gave me issues. after it turned into BMO it was terrible. they kept me on the line for an hour and a half just to tell me i couldnt set up a money management account since i was 17, after me mentioning that many times over and over and asking if it was okay to be a minor and them saying yes until i mentioned i was going to come in the next day to set it up only to find out i couldnt. they also charged me a $5 dollar fee to print a statement when they never mentioned that i would be feed to get one. i know 5 bucks isnt a lot but they should have mentioned that i would be feed before hand!

I originally had my auto loan through M&I Bank and everything went smooth! Then this BMO Harris joke took over. I could write all day about all of the bad changes that were made, but I'll probably end up using "abusive language" and it says in bright red letters below "No Abusive Language" so... Just look at the other reviews and take your banking needs elsewhere. I will be re-financing my auto loan with my Credit Union (U.S. Federal) as soon as I can! Been with them for over 5 years and they have been nothing short of amazing.

Harris Bank ATM CHEATED ME

THEY SHORTED ME 20.00 at THEIR ATM !!!!
I went into the bank & explained the problem & they treated me , a good customer for more than 17yrs with complete lack of concern.

The stupid LaToya 's first response was " oh, its a NEW machine " ....so THEY KNEW IT WAS MALFUNCTIONING !!!!!!! And they didn't take it out of service- THEY ARE STILL LETTING PEOPLE USE IT .
And she made me fill out a form like I'm a  criminal & told me I have to wait TEN DAYS for them to resolve their  mistake.

DONT USE HARRIS BANK !!!!!!
THEY ARE IMBECILES !!!!!

I AM ALREADY LOOKING INTO MOVING , MY HOME EQUITY LINE, CHECKING ACCOUNT & SAFE DEPOSIT BOX...

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS DISHONESTY

Could not exchange foriegn currency money for my mother. I drove in from deerfield, picked Mother up at nursing home and drove to hildale branch where I was told it was the only(?) place to exchange currency. They asked for my lisence and s.s. number, ran it int heri compiuter twice and then said he couldn't exchange it for me. What does my perosnal information have to do with exchanging 100 eruos into $115??? So very little christmas shopping for my mom, as it is a non payday week for me the day before christmas.

I pulled up to the drive through and all the staff was laughing and having a great time. Unfortunately it took quite awhile for anyone to even realize I was sitting there. Then one lady talked to me and told me to send my checks in and then walked away. Another lady walked over and grabbed them and asked what I thought I was doing, like I was a child. I really didn't appreciate her being so condescending towards me. The fact that I sat there and nobody helped me or even acknowledged that I was there really bothered me. Needless to say, I will never come back to this location regardless of convenience. I never had this issue with the old M&I staff.

Harris bank on 47th street

I have been a Harris cusstomer for over 8 years.  The branch on 47th street always offers the worst customer service.  The staff are not friendly and seem uninterested in assisting with any questions I have.  The teller manager even made a rude comment to a teller about me when I asked for some two dollar bills!  While I was standing there!  The ATM does not dispense funds requested and none of the staff even try to resolve the issue! I always try to go to another location for service.

Have been a costumer for many years and while doing my banking today during my conversation with the clerk the implication was made that my conversation with my 21yr old  son( which was in another language) made her feel uncomfortable because she has been involved in the robbery before. I could not believe my ears. I was floored and insulted by her comments. We live in the world that people are controlled by fear and allowing that fear to interfere with their ability to perform their job. Because of this I will be closing my accounts with BMO Harris Bank and will be telling my friends to avoid this bank.

I was a 'loyal' M&I customer for over 10 years, never had one single issue, ever.  Now after the fabulous BMO Harris aquisition, this place is a freaking nightmare.  Their fees are ridiculous, wait times are terrible, customer 'support' on the phone is horrendous...   Do yourself a favor - look at all the reviews on this and other sites and take them seriously.  Go elsewhere for your banking needs.

I have experienced THE worst "customer service" ever when dealing with this so-called company.  I asked the simple question of being informed of what account my money was sent to for a distribution, and was denied.  I was told that the information was not accessible to the representative.  I followed up the initial call with several calls over the next few days, and was given the run around.  The money ended up being sent to the wrong account, and the company would not accept fault for this error.  Instead, they tried to place blame on myself and the third party company who sent over the request.  The issue has now been escalated much further than neccessary because they refused to expedite the matter.  I would not reccommend this company to anyone!  Do NOT invest with this company!  If you do, you will regret it, trust me.

Have had nothing but frustrations since the merger.  M&I had a good website and billpay system that was user-friendly.  I absolutely do not like the new website and have had issues with balances among other things.  The big issue today is that I need to provide a stmt to my lender to close on my home refi and when I went online to get my statement, it reflects my ex-husbands name (and mine) and HIS ADDRESS!!! We removed him from my account 4 years ago.  My lender will not accept this stmt and I am getting nowhere fast with customer service.... lots of bad hold music and no resolution :(

I am disappointed with BMO Harris bank just transfer my directect deposit to another bank, done with this company, sad sad customer service when even I call, always need to transfer to someone else. Fed up and transfer all account to new banking service.

I cannot get through to these people on the phone. I walked into the bank asking for help (downtown Racine branch)and was told I had to phone the 800 help number. ??? I cannot get through to them on the 800 help number phone. That's my problem. It is a circular nightmare. I did get a false smile as I was told I would not be able to get any help. We're going elsewhere. I doubt the corporation cares. My husband and I are professionals and this is not how we would conduct business. We were with M&I for over 17 years. Thanks, Corporate Greed.

I had issues with them when they were M&I and now it's worse because of their transistion to BMO. There is no customer service unless you call an actual branch. There is no weekend customer service. And, they cannot seem to stop screwing up - double paying bills and putting me into the red, fining me for their screw ups, locking my checking account, not sending me needed information to activate cards, putting me into a queue and then hanging up on me - the list could keep going. They are a disaster. I do not recommend them to anyone.

I am sadden that as you take over M&I Bank, our local bank, you have detached from the customers as many big banks do and have complicateds my life to the point that I will be closing my accounts (not a big t deal to you) but a big deal to me, because my M&I banker is a wonderful person that I have dealt with for over 25 years, and is know limited by your big bank policies and procedures that forget what a human being looks like and wha tI need  from you. So I am sad to have to move my account, (not a big deal to you) but a sad day to me.!

Loooooooooonnnnnnnggggggg waits on their 800 line; never ever less than 45 minutes, ever! And you have to lower a bunch of security settings on your iMac/iPhone in order to use their bill pay. I can’t think of a time I would want more security than when I’m using bill pay….
Their website and 800 number will only tell you your balance as of 11:59 the previous night. So the entire weekend, regardless of what you spend, it says your balance is what it was on Friday night at midnight, all the way until Tuesday morning. Then it goes to Monday night at 11:59.

I am terribly disappointed with BMO Harris's takeover of M&I bank. They have been unhelpful, uncourteous, difficult to reach, and my services have been abysmal. Avoid them at all costs!
