I have many accounts at Bell Bank in Alexandria. The staff is friendly, kind and extremely helpful. The bank is also very giving to the community and the surrounding area. Highly recommend a look for all your banking needs!!

I have banked with Bell State since 1976. I used them for my business needs and my personal needs. They advertise themselves as a friendly bank and they are true to their word. This bank is friendly. If you look at their growth, you will find that a huge majority of people think the same way I do. Any negative responses you read here I would attribute to a person having a bad day. Love this Bank!

I banked with several different banks before moving to Bell State Bank and I am so glad I made the move. At Bell State Bank I am a person not just a faceless entity. I have had excellent service and love the banking hours as they let me bank in person. Other banks are closed by the time I get off work. I love Bell State!!

We went with Bell State because we knew one of their loan officers. We were supposed to do a remodel and a new mortgage. Because of their incompetent staff and hired appraisers, they messed up our remodel mortgage. Then they didn't do anything to fix it, other than offer us a different, crappy home equity deal. We had no choice but to take it, but we wouldn't have taken on this project if it wasn't for THEIR bank doing the appraisal, etc. in the first place. On top of everything, their staff was rude and unprofessional. Bell State Bank & Trust is a perfect example of what is wrong with banking in America. They have a fancy building and the staff drives fancy cars because they leech off the average joe. Stay away from this bank!

Very disappointed with this bank. Am going through a very ugly domestic situation and my soon to be x thought it cute to cash a check from 2014. I spoke to a few people at the bank and turns out they had a misunderstanding within the bank on outdated check and the facts surrounding it. Granted it my fault that i did not realize this check still existed, but due to this incurred an extra OD charge, I went to the bank and opened a new account because they said he may try to cash check again. Well turns out they did not even check into "The outdated " check they thought i was talking about a recurring payment that they send electronic check. Seems to me they could have did a bit more investigating and definitely could have reimbursed me an OD charge. Just got an apology from them for lack of communication I guess. Up until this I haven't any issues. Wish they would have actually checked into instead of saying they did. Could have saved me a lot of trouble.

Was hung up on, talked down to
They cancelled my debit card without telling me. Found out when it was declined at the gas station. Donna is a miserable person. Terrible customer service
Others were helpful and patient. Services offered seem great! Deals and options and plans are set up nicely.
