Bryan--The Financial Adviser is very cordial, helpful and full of ideas---but a women there named Sylvia, who was initially helping us set up individual checking accounts, has refused to correspond to emails or phone calls, once we transferred a significant amount of money there. Also, trying to transfer business accounts and on line checking from Washovia to Wells Fargo has been a night-mare

I've not had any problems with this bank, but it is not my primary bank either. If you are looking for good CD rates you should join a credit union. WF's rates are poor for short term and average for long term. I use the inside tellers and there are always two. They have been courteous and helpful. If you need a banker it is better to set up an appointment, especially if you don't have time to wait. The wait (sans appt.) is usually 10 minutes, but has ranged from no wait to (once) almost an hour.

I have a problem with Wells Fargo changing the interest rates on my accounts all the time. They post "promotional rates' and adjust my rates when I go in and sit and make them adjust them, but to secretly change the rate, not make me aware of it and then I find it on a statement makes me mad. I have used Wells Fargo for eons but I will be changing all my accounts to a different bank.

It is my understanding that this Branch used to be a Wachovia bank. It takes time to make a transition, and I see a different group of people here now than was there a rew months ago. I'm glad this branch is there and I believe they have done a wonderful job in transition.

My mother, who is 80 years old and not in the best health, became a Wells Fargo customer by default when Wachovia was purchased by WF.
She had a couple CDs which are due out in the future sometime. She received a phone call which confused her, and subsequently in the mail came an account signature card for a new checking account.
I called and spoke with the young woman whose name was included with the paperwork to find out WHY my Mom was being given a checking account she didn't need and was required to open it with $100. I told the young woman that my mother already had an account elsewhere and didn't want this account - she replied that since my Mom had OK'd it over the phone, there was nothing she could do, we had to sign it and send in $100. She said that we could go in the next day after it was officially opened and close the account and get the $100 back. WHAT kind of sense did THAT make??
I called back a short while later and spoke directly with the manager, who was as nice and helpful as she could be, and told me that she was cancelling the account effective immediately. Now THAT was what we wanted to hear.
Problem resolved in a professional and pleasant manner - works for me!
