My Wife went to the Bering Location in Houston,TX to cash a check that was/is written/printed on a "Northern Trust Co." account and it is not like this check was hand written or anything like that, it was a check from cashing out her 401K, not a huge check but definitely not chump change either, so I called ahead and asked the lady that answered the phone, what she would need to complete this transaction, she told me that all she needed was two forms of I.D., at which point I asked if her valid Texas drivers license and her work I.d. badge would be acceptable and was told "yes, sir,that would be fine" so we drove all the way accross town only to be told by first the "teller" that the forms of I.D. that she presented were NOT acceptable and asked to see her social security card and they would accept it or a credit card as a second form of I.D., so I asked to speak with the manager to ask why these were not valid forms of I.D. she told me that it was COMPANY POLICY, and again asked to see her S.S.C. or a credit card and proceeded to tell me that she was "sorry" and she "understands" but it was Their policy and she couldn't make any acceptions and then in the same breath said if it was for a $100 she could make an acceptions, SO WHICH IS IT? I have a feeling that since we pulled up on a Motorcycle and were wearing black that, that was the real problem, if I would have been wearing a $1000 suit and driving a BMW that second form of I.D. wouldn't have been such a problem, and then told me to take it to ACE or some other check cashing place and SHe was sure that they could help us, REALLY? IT IS YOUR CHECK!!!! and she had a VALID STATE ID AND A CURRENT WORK I.D. BADGE WITH A PICTURE AND HER NAME ON IT< BUT THEIR POLICY DOSN'T PERMIT THAT. BUT A S.S.C. is VALID FORM OF I.D., SINCE WHEN? A S.S.C. HAS NEVER BEEN A VALID FORM OF I.D. ANYWHERE, AND IT SAYS RIGHT ON IT "DO NOT CARRY THIS ON YOU" SO NOT WANTING TO LOSE MY COOL AND SAY SOMETHINF THAT I MIGHT REGRET, WE LEFT TO GO TO ACE CHECK CASHING TO BE TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE 6% AND THEN WHEN THEY CALLED THE CHICAGO OFFICE OF SAID BANK, THE CLERK WAS TOLD BY SOMEONE IN CHICAGO THAT IT WAS AGAINST THEIRPOLICY TO VERIFY CHECKS, ANGAIN, REALLY??? IT IS YOUR CHECK, SO THE CLERK TRYING TO BE AS HELPFUL AS POSSIBLE SOMETHING THAT THE PEOPLE A N.T.C. SHOULD TRY AND NOT JUST BEING HELPFUL TO "RICH" PEOPLE OR PEOPLE THAT LOOK RICH ANYWAY, BUT THE FUNNY THING IS I KNOW A LOT OF RICH PEOPLE AND WORK WITH SEVERAL FINANCIAL ADVISORS THROUGH MY WORK AND WILL BE LETTING THEM KNOW TO NEVER,EVER BRING ANY OF THEIR ACCOUNTS OR RECCOMEND THEIR CLIENTS TO USE N.T.C. THEY ARE DOING A FANTASTIC JOB OF RUINING A REPUTATION THAT HAS BEEN IN THE MAKING FOR OVER A HUNDRED YEARS AND NOW i AM GOING TO USE MY BLOG(15K FOLLOWERS),SOCIAL NETWORKING(FB 5K MAX/TWITTER 7K) ALL OF THESE COMMENT SITES AND EVERY TOWN THAT I GO TO WHEN ON TOUR AND EVERY STAGE THAT I GRAB A MICROPHONE ON TO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT N.T.C. AND NOT IN A WAY THAT YOU ARE GOING TO LIKE, OH JUST IN CASE YOU ARE WONDERING I AM A TOURING COMEDIAN AND WORK IN EVERY MAJOR CITY IN AMERICA, WELL DONE BERING LOCATION.WELL DONE
