I have a savings account with my son and a checking account here, and have had no problems at all. The staff is always helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the complementary coffee has been a welcomed amenity more than once.

I am not surprised to find this blog on Susquehanna, I wont go into details, all I could say is I have been with Susquehanna since 2002;
I should mention we have 4 accounts with them.
Well, an issue came up with a third party check that was returned;  I called customer service, spoke to a supervisor and they first apologized for an error they committed in holding the check value / amount on my account for more than it was needed.  then she said to go, in person and go with my daughter, who the check was made to, and bring proper ID;  The person who saw me had a funeral face and a unpleasant attitude; Not sure if she has chronic pain or was having a bad day;  I was exhausted, was losing my voice and truly didn't have too much energy at that time; I went in with a fresh eye surgery and the reason I am mentioning this is because I apologized for having my glasses on and then took them off telling her about it.  she didn't even bother to look at me. she then said it couldn't be done; she read the notes in their system that confirmed what the lady at the customer service told me to do; My daughter was in the waiting area; as she was talking to me, my daughter got up and came to the door and asked if everything was okay? and she told me, Mom, her facial expression, her hand movement and her look, from outside seems like she is not being nice; The woman Kathy O. got up and left the office and said I will be back; I called my husband being that he has a rental account with at least 9 times the value of the check;  (check was 1700) I was still working FT and heading for a carpal tunnel surgery the day after; my time was limited; any ways my husband came in, he was down the road and told them to deposit the check in his account, since I only had 2,200 in my checking and had 2 transactions pending; Still they refused to deposit the check. Here we are two FT employed individuals. who trusted this bank for over 10 years; they saw I came in my own car, my husband didn't come in a horse or a bicycle, neither my daughter; We have couple of properties; and we needed the money for my daughter who is pregnant. I cried and then I got upset because of the cold treatment;  I try to think about any thing that could have triggered the way we were treated and it was just the unprofessional and unethical attitude in their behalf; Let me see . . . what else could be? never had a returned check for insufficient funds, each account has over 5k in combination with savings; We are clean, decent, educated, polite individuals. . . .    bottom line that castle they advertise, that the bank is there blah blah blah is not only a lie, but they have plain MEAN people working there.   at the end it was not about the check anymore but about the way we were treated and the disappointment and sour taste in our mouth in which we left that branch that afternoon and they did nothing to make it a little bit better.
