Occasionally a Suntrust account holder will write me a check and I have to deal with Suntrust.  I have had a decent experience with most locations, but the one nearest me (Hiram, GA) has one teller named Adam who is smug, condescending and seems to actually delight when he sees my irritation at being told I will have to pay $7 for the privilege of cashing a check written to me & drawn on a Suntrust account.  It has happened several times over the last few years.  Enough that he recognizes me when I walk in.
Once I took a check to him to be cashed that was dated the next day (I had cleared it with the person who wrote it to me that it was okay with her to cash).  The teller, Adam, informed me he would not cash it because it was a 'post-dated' check.  Had I been dealing with any random teller I would have chalked it up to a teller going out of their way to look out for the interests of an account holder (banks have no legal obligation to not pay a 'post-dated' check unless informed well in advance by the account-holder).  But I got the strong sense Adam refused to do it because it was me & he enjoyed the fact it upset me.  I know that is impossible to prove, but when you are standing face to face with someone you've had history with, you kinda know.
He is the worst teller I have had to deal with in at least 20 years.

I go to Suntrust Bank Greenbrair Pkwy about once a month, everytime ive been there it has been a awful experience. Not a welcoming environment, staff is very unprofessional & rude. I had my worst experience with a teller named Ashlyn Pagan. She is by far they most rude person ive meet in my life. After speaking to manager Anthony Hardie about her with no difference I advise people to use a different bank. This bank is the worst!!!!

The branch manager has the poorest customer service attitude I have encountered at local banks. She seems to be on the phone whenever I am in the office. Since most activities--except for the routine--need to be approved by her, the wait is infuriating. A year ago I waited two hours for a notary; constantly being told that she would see me in a moment because she was on the phone. Then I was told she was off the phone and would see me, and then told "wait" she was on the phone again. I finally left. I resolved to close my account but did not because it was just a short distance from my home. Then recently I went in for a notary and the same thing happened. I should have known better but the same thing happened. I left after two hours. This time I am closing all accounts. And I have been with ST since 1998.
