I am from Salem IL born and raised here and my parents had a successful business for many years. I had several loans with this bank from the time I was in high school until about six years ago. It was a much better bank years ago. But when the great recession hit years back I was laid off and could only get temp jobs for over a year, most were receiving unemployment during that time for two years, it was the recession of 2008 and lasted until about 2016. The bank told me I should just pay interest only payments on my car note, which I did along with a month late fee $180 mo every month until I paid it in full, they also added a balloon payment at the end of the note. This was suppose to HELP ME, they say, to keep my credit good and my car until I got back to work. The only person it helped was THEM!! They ended up not putting any of those payments I made on my credit reports but instead showed me late at 120 days for over a year, so you can imagine how this harmed my credit score, my ability to get future loans at a low interest rate, my ability to buy a house. They have refused to correct this on my reports for the last seven years and were so mean and nasty to me and my son also. As most know my family and the fact that I am twice widowed and my son has been through so much, it is easy to see why I never will do business with this bunch of crooks again and will tell everyone I know to do the same. I have worked in government for many years, as well as investment banking and law and had no other late payments in my life and am 56yrs old. One day this bunch of losers will answer to God for all they did to my son and I, a widow and orphan. They should be ashamed to even show their face in this town or anywhere else either, the things some people will do in the name of greed!!
