Got into a shouting match with the branch manager (Craig).  Dude said every word except for the N word. Come back the next day to file a complain he sends his even ruder assistant branch manager (Bahrija Perazic)  I HATE Citibank, I really hope they close that branch down.  FUCIN RACIST @ 79 5th avenue (Union Square Area)

This is the worse Citi branch in NYC

Summarizing:

Ever since this branch relocated from, 5th Ave & 13th Street, to 5th Ave & 16th Street, service is less then desirable to say the least! I certainly avoid going into this branch as much as possible for the following reasoning!

1- Staff is extremely inefficient by any NY standards.

2- Staff is untrained or perhaps unwilling to solve even the simplest clients' requests and manager "Craig Fisher", is not any better...

3- In general be prepared to deal with a rude employe who comes across as he/she is doing you a "big favor" to listen to you and service your account...

I do not understand how Citi headquarters allows a citi branch to operate in such different manners then their other branches... even worse, how do they keep this staff in place... clearly other customers have complained before... I sure have several times... to date at least 3 times!

Avoid this branch other citi branches are better to do business with!

My husband went to make a $1,570.00 in his CITI BANK checking account at 8:00 AM on 3/23/18 through the ATM before heading to work. The ATM spit out a receipt saying "I'm sorry. Because of technical problems, I can't return your cash right now. This piece of paper doesn’t specify the amount that was just deposited at the time. When he checked his account the account stated $0 dollars. He waited 2 more hours till the branch open to speak to the branch manager. During this time he had to miss work. When 10AM came around and the branch manager REINA HERNANDEZ arrived she simply told him that the branch has nothing to do with the ATM and that this happens often. Completely wipe her hands and wanted nothing to do with it. She didn’t lift a finger to try and help. She went inside the bank and went on about her business; she didn’t even provide my husband with the customer service number. My husband called the number on the back of the debit card where he was told he was going to have to wait 10 days and they couldn’t do anything about it. I consider this THEFT from CITI BANK. NO ONE WANTS TO TAKE RESPOSIBILTY AND DO ANYTHING ABOUT RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. My husband told the branch (#518) "MANAGER" he was going to call the cops and she simply answered "okay called me when they get here" as my husband waited outside the branch. The police made a police report and recommended to my husband to file a CIVIL LAWSUIT against CITI BANK which we have already contacted our lawyer for this matter. Our bills are complety on hold due to this and we are being charged late fees. We have contacted every number we could find and search on the internet and everyone has given us the run around and told us that we have to wait 10 days and that a investigation has been open.  As I did some research I read that a lot of other CITI BANK customer have has the same problem several times and no one has resolved their issue either. This is THE MOST UNPROFESSIVAL BANK AND INCOCIDERATED PEOPLE TO EVER TRUST WITH YOU HARD EARNED MONEY. As per the branch (#518) "MANAGER" REINA HERNANDEZ once I came to the branch to get an explanation why couldn’t she just open the ATM and withdraw our money that was in LIMBO and we need ASAP to cover out due bills, she was the most UNPROFESSINAL BRANCH "MANAGER" we have ever dealt with. She refuse to help us with anything and actually threaten us with having to close our account. She just repeated that this happens all the time and she can’t do anything about it. She mention that they have a company called BRINKS that comes once a month and she knows nothing else that she can do for us as she walked away smiling and got back to her personal call in her office. She said to me that she would have the cops drag me out of the branch (#518) if she had to. The NASTIEST person I have ever come across in my life. I thought MANAGERs are there to help the customer and see if they can reach a solution to the problem at hand. This woman didn’t lift a pen to help instead made threats, claimed this happens all the time at this branch (#518) and she smiled to me and my family as she walked away. My husband spent an entire day trying to resolve this horrible matter with ZERO RESOLUTION. He had to miss work which means MORE MONEY LOSS DUE TO THIS HORRIBLE MATTER.Today is 3/26/18 MONDAY and we still have not gotten our money back. Again this is THEFT from CITI BANK. We have called Customer service and we have been hung up on and given the run around over and over. We have yet to cover our pass due bills no one is willing to help. I have some family members that have CITI BANK and THEFT will be closing their accounts due to this DISSASTER and DEFT.As I mention we have contacted our lawyer and will take this to court since we feel some one is go to answer for this MESS and THEFT.

Utica-Clarkson Citibank is the worst Citibank I have the displeasure of doing business with.  Cannot get in touch with a personal person on the telephone. Even the customer service @ the 1 800 number cannot get in touch with anyone at this Citibank. Personal numbers at the branch reroutes you to the 1 800 number. I've branced at Citibank in San Jose, California and Long Island and I can always get in touch with someone. This particular branch is certainly not personable.

What a joke this bank has a personal banker that is way to young to be in that position, was the person that made the decision to give this position to this girl drunk.. I went in there all she was interested in was selling me a credit card she did not take the time hear me out. She could not even compose a sentence correctly, the only two proffesionals there are the older personal banker & branch manager. Do your self a favor if you must go there make sure its one of the two I metioned above help you. I hope Citi notices that she should not be in that position not the right fit.

The management and staff are incompetent and very difficult to do business. I have a small basic checking and savings.  They mess up my deposits and put them other people accounts.  The 800 number is a joke.  Nobody speaks English to help you on the 800. Number.  For being retired they are rude and short with seniors and the managers could care less.  One time I had a complaint a blonde manager helped me.  She smelled like alcohol.  Run from this bank..they offer everything and deliver nothing.

This is by far the worst bank I've been to!! The staff is incompetent and lazy. They will keep you there for hours, while they are making phone calls, because they have no idea of what they are doing!!!
Unless you actually enjoy wasting your time, DO NOT GO THERE!
I am definitely closing my bank account at Citibank, and moving to a better bank, that actually makes your life easier, not miserable...

We are in our 7th month of waiting for this bank and this branch to refi our existing mortgage with them. It was supposed to take 3 months, and we are now 7+ months. The service was so bad that we got the branch manager involved.  Now there are 5 people that do not respond to our inquiries for service and status updates. We are 25+ year customers with this bank. The only part of the organization worse than the refi department is the mortgage guy and manager at this bank.  Do not believe anything they tell you. They will not help you, respond to emails or follow through on their promises. Put  your money under a mattress before you take it to this branch.

Speaking with their short sale dept.  My client is the widow of borrower.  Every day, they ask for new information and new authorizations. When they say they have everything, the next day the ADD more documentation.

Our government bailed them out.  They have staff that could care less, or are poorly trained and told to delay delay delay   This bank works like a third world country.

I had an checking account with the for a few months there was a misunderstanding the supervisor didn't help and the store manger Was completely rude and told me they didn't want me their . In very disappointed that I was talk down to I did not have a negative account or anything the store manger close my account without my permission.

The wait is unbelieveable and appauling, standing online takes longer than an avg lunch period. The bankers don't even come out from behind their cubicals to help. This is ridiculous!

I have been trying to reach someone at this bank for more than a week. they don't have a published number, customer service claims they only have extensions, they call and no one picks up the phone. their regard for their customers, current advertising notwithstanding, is zero. Worst choice of bank!

I deposited a 3rd party citibank check into my citibank account. I was assured that there were sufficient funds in that account to cover the check. However, 3 days later, the check bounced and I'm being charged a $10 fee.

I am very disappointed in the service! Even though I did get a "supposedly free" checking account the bank charged me $45 total for not maintaining a minimum balance which for my account is not necessary/(special case).
I am going to try to fix it but I have to pay for someone else's mistake with my time and effort.
NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!

This has to be the worst customer service ever.  These people should all be replaced with employees who actually care about their customers AND their job.  With all the unemployed, one would think that hard work, good manners and respect for your client's would be the number one goal for a business.
Not here.
They do not care about you or your business....SO...take it someplace else

I walked into the bank and asked to see a financial advisor. I spoke with Abraham. I wanted to roll over my IRA to another account in the bank. I had another appointment so I didn't have much time. Abraham suggested that I come back the next day when I have more time. I said ok, let's set up an appointment. We decided on 3:00 p.m. I didn't see him write it down so I mentioned that to him. I told I have a very busy schedule & that I expect him to be free around 3:00. I laughed & told him don't forget to record it on your phone calendar. He said, "It's on my calendar. I walked into the bank the next day at 2:55 p.m..  Another man siting at his desk told me it was Abe's day off. I asked did he leave any message for me? The answer was no. I checked my cell phone & my answering machine at home. No message from him . I can't believe that a Financial Advisor at a large bank, like Citibank would treat a customer like this. I didn't even receive a call after all this happened. This is the worst customer service I've ever received from a bank.  In the age of our economic crisis banks are going beyond what they need to do to help bring in customers. I'm closing my IRA, as well as my checking account with Citibank.

The main impression you get as a customer at this branch is you as a customer are treated as the last important piece of the puzzle. And it all goes back to mafia style management.Respectful approach? Forget it.  I myself prefer to go to another branch located 3.5 miles farther to my house. And I do, because I can't stand lies, discrimination, and disrespectful mannerism.

After a tiresome and frustrating phone call with Citibank credit card representatives to resolve an account error, I decided to speak with a live person. I recently walked in to the El Cajon Citibank branch in hopes they could assist with a credit card account issue. I was greeted by Assistant Manager Judy Scott who listened to my account issues. She then proceeded to spend the next 1 1/2 hours on the phone with Citibank credit card accountants to fix the problem. I received a follow up phone call from Citibank branch assistant manager Judy Scott today. On her own accord she contacted Citibank Credit card accountants to ensure my account was altered and fixed as discussed last week. I can't express how appreciative I am of Judy and her willingness to help resolve this issue. I doubt very much I would have ever resolved this credit card account error without her intervention!! Thanks again

WORST bank policies EVER! They closed my account due to me not coming in for proof of address, I couldn't access my money even though I had plenty in there. Then they said I could only speak with the guy who opened the account. They wouldn't accept proof of address that THEY THEMSELVES sent me because it needed the ENVELOPE!!! Even though my address was clearly visible on the mail THEY sent! I had to close the account officially. The RUDE man, Yassar, told me if I didn't calm down he'd call the cops. I said GO AHEAD! He didn't since I was in the right. Do yourself a favor-DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE

When i came to this branch today and it is not my first time there, i went straight to the window to cashed my check. First, nobody payed attention to me because two girls were so busy talking to each other. Second she told me that she can't help me and when i told her that i did it million times here she told me it was a joke. After, she told her neighbor "Look she is freak out ha ha". I came there not like her friend but to do some necessary stuff and i never so those attitude anywhere else!!! Probably it's a new Girl because i never saw her there before! Her name was Terrisha and i'm sure she shouldn't work with the people at all!!! i hope they will not ignore my message!
