Let me start off by saying,,WOW!!I have had this account approximately 23 days and in this 23 days anything that could go wrong, did!i have never heard of time limits on when you can deposit cash in the ATM  machine !i went and deposited $1000 on a Saturday night and today is now early Tuesday morning, and my money has still not posted!i could go on with roughly 3 more major issues that I had with this crappy bank!i hope that more people realizes and this fraudulent bank gets shut down!dont waste your time go somewhere else!

Riding on bought-out TIB's track record

The smaller community bank that Capital bought out was TIB, a very highly thought of, excellent local bank. Good service continued as long as they retained the old TIB employees (about a year) but it went steadily downhill once they got rid of them (standard business move)..
Little by little, personal service disappeared. APYs on bank investments like CDs all became lower than APRs on personal loans.
Then, last week, a letter from the Capital Bank Senior VP, Todd Baker: "Capital Bank would like to reiterate to all of our customers that Overdraft privilege is...not to replace other sources of income or act as a fixed line of credit.."
(I would like to state here that I have not overdrafted there since 2009, for $2.35)-- that was apparently justification for a long list of new charges and fees that were now being added to all account holders' existing fees and charges.

I'd been with TIB for 17 years; stayed with Capital for awhile for convenience but this is the last straw. I've already removed my assets and am switching to a local bank.

I used Southern Community for a long time, and stayed with them after Capital Bank took over.  However, have noticed a big difference - they don't care anymore!  They have disappointed me to the point that I am closing my account and have switched to another bank.  They just don't care !
